   An American holds the record for the world's longest poop. With the help of a high-fiber diet, it measured a gargantuan twenty-six feet long!

   "Coprophagia," or "coprophagy," is the word for eating poop.
  
   • Moose poop is a virtual cottage industry in Alaska as resourceful residents sell a variety of shellacked moose-poop souvenirs to tourists. Products include swizzle sticks, tiepins, mugs, earrings, even incense (called moose-cense) and moose-poop soap!
The town of Talkeetna, Alaska, even holds a Moose Dropping Festival every July.

   Traditional Chinese medicine uses poop from flying squirrels to treat a variety of ailments, from snakebites to menstrual cramps. It's believed to promote blood circulation, thus relieving pain, and is served as a beverage, like tea. 

   Dried seabird and bat droppings (guano), which consist mainly of potassium nitrate, were once an important source of gunpowder, going back to the War of 1812.

   Some caterpillars can shoot their poop (frass) up to four feet away to escape detection from predators.

   A lack of rain wreaked havoc at the 2012 Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw because thirsty cows barely produced enough "implements" used in the competition. "This is my 24th throw, and it's never been this hard to find chips," one contestant lamented.
