• Eastern New Mexico University received 80 rolls of toilet tissue in 2012 along with an unsigned note from someone claiming to be a recent graduate, apologizing for stealing that much tissue during his undergraduate days. The writer claims to have undergone a renewed dedication to his faith and felt guilty about the petty potty theft.• The Golden Poop Arts Festival is held every year in Suwon, South Korea. It takes place in Restroom Cultural Park, whose grounds are filled with statues of people sitting upon toilets. Suwon takes bottomless pride in its reputation as "the toilet city."
• A herd of twenty Thai elephants is excreting some of the world's most expensive coffee. Trumpeted as earthy in flavor and smooth on the palate, the exotic new Black Ivory coffee sells for $500 per pound and is made from coffee beans eaten by Thai elephants and plucked a day later from their poop. "When an elephant eats coffee, its stomach acid breaks down the protein found in it, which is a key factor in its bitterness," said the coffee's developer.
• British composer Jon Hering has premiered a new work entitled "Number Two." It was "written" by birds, which placed the notes by pooping on a piece of paper with musical scale lines that was positioned under their perch.
• The latest spa craze is the bird poop facial. Excrement from the Asian nightingale is mixed with rice bran in this traditional Japanese beauty treatment that has recently arrived in New York City. It goes for $180 a pop.
