"Our students loved your stories and your mild-mannered delivery. You made smelly topics fun, educational, and interesting. Our kids had so much fun that when all your presentations were over, you surely basked in the sweet smell of success. Parents and children are now big fans!"

What a wonderful day! Artie Bennett, the funny and personable author, came to P.S. 92 in Brooklyn to read aloud his hilarious and informative books to the students who participate in the Ready Readers Literacy Project, an afterschool program that fosters a love for reading. Artie really knows and understands children. He makes the sessions interactive, allowing the students to chime in. And he explains interesting tidbits while reading his books. I asked the students afterward about the author’s visit and these were a few typical replies:
‘He was so funny. And the books were awesome!’
‘I never met a real author before. Now I want to be an author, too, when I grow up.’
‘I laughed so hard and I learned so much!’

During the Ready Readers program the next day, the group leader was introducing a very amusing book called We Are Growing when a student asked, ‘Is this an Artie Bennett book?’ So there you have it. ‘Artie Bennett’ is now synonymous with ‘hilarious’!

“Fun times were had by all when Artie Bennett visited our school. He kept the students engaged with his hilarious books on ‘unspeakable’ topics like butts, poop, and burps.”
